First founded in 2011 by Jaret Munger and Karl Sanderson, the two have created a unique little burger joint that has garnered various accolades like winning the Best Burger award from the Best of Texoma 2022. Walking in, you'll find that this burger joint in Bonham features a clean industrial interior that is a fitting place to enjoy one of the best burgers in the Lone Star State. And if you're walking in with a bit of an appetite, try their Quadzilla - a quadruple quarter-pounder cheeseburger.
Hidden Hangar Vineyard and Winery
Hidden Hangar Vineyard and Winery in Denison, Texas is a great place to visit because of its great vintages and the vineyard has an interesting backstory to it. Situated on a 50-acre plot of land in North Texas, the owners of the Hidden Hangar Vineyard have expertly converted this property into one of the premier wine destinations in the State that features a production facility, Pilot's Lounge, wine cellar, Barrel Room, and, of course, their very own tasting room. Taking the tour is a must when visiting. Guests can also sign up for Hidden Hangar's Wine Club where members can enjoy perks and discounts with wine purchases.
Fera’s
Fera's has that vibe about it that speaks of Italian family values through sharing a meal with those closest to us. Their menu features Italian classics like homemade pasta dishes, specially handcrafted pizzas, Italian seafood dishes, and desserts. And if you're a bit thirsty, their bar is fully stocked with a good selection of wines, and beers. They're open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm on Tuesdays through Sundays.
Wolf Den Family Restaurant
First opened in 2004, the Wolf Den Family Restaurant is food destination in Cooke County for both locals and travelers alike. They specialize in American comfort food with classics like hamburger steaks, grilled jalapeño pork chop, or their fried catfish. And if you're looking to stretch your belly muscles, they have a Wolf It Down Challenge where diners can eat for free if they can finish everything [four chicken fried steaks, three scoops of your choice of mashed potatoes or fries, double vegetable servings, and double Texas toast] in under 20 minutes.
Sarah’s On The Square
Operating out of a historic building in downtown Gainesville, Texas, Sarah's on the Square is a local favorite because of the flavorful take on Contemporary American comfort food. Their menu features rotating sets of dishes where you can expect classic American favorites like chicken fried steak, juicy burgers, family-style meals, homemade desserts, and delicious lunch specials. Cackle & Oin BBQ out in Sherman, Texas is a unique barbecue stop for aficionados of meats cooked over a pit. They proudly call their style of grilling a "hybrid" combination of barbecue styles from Texas, Memphis, and St. Louis. This combination produces some pretty interesting takes on grilled meats like their Applewood Smoke pulled pork which is juicy, tender, and packed with flavor with every strand.
